Lessons are taught weekly but the cost of tuition is based upon three lessons per month which allows for the teacher’s professional obligations, workshops, conferences and holidays, and sick days for the teacher and student. As a general policy, “make-ups” are not given. In inclement weather lessons will be taught virtually through Zoom. The flat tuition, monthly or term, is not a payment for a set number of lessons, but is a discounted monthly or per term fee. The teacher(s) performs professionally and makes every effort to be consistent with lesson scheduling.  Occasional group classes and a recital may be included in tuition. Tuition payment holds the student’s spot for lessons and special offerings during the term paid for.  Regularly scheduled lessons will not be given on holidays and extra lessons may be scheduled at will and by appointment only.  As a general rule, Wassum String Academy follows the holiday policy of Spotsylvania County Schools.  The following are established holiday dates:

• Labor Day 2023 (September 4)

• Thanksgiving Break 2023 (November 20-26)

• Holiday Break (December 18-January 1)

• Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2024 (January 15)

• President's Day 2024 (February 19)

• ASTA Conference (March 20-23)

• Easter Break (March 29-April 7)

• Break between academic year and summer term (May 26 - 31)

In the event of inclement weather, WSA will offer virtual lessons through Zoom.  Please look for an email or text from the instructor with instructions for Zoom, or reach out to confirm lesson status.

There is a 24 hour cancellation policy which is to be followed at all times.  We realize that emergencies do arise, but adequate notification allows other students to be scheduled in your place.  Please email or text anytime to notify the instructor of your cancellation.

Tuition payments are due on or before the beginning of the term.  All students must be currently registered with Wassum String Academy.  Please do not submit payment if you have not yet discussed enrollment with us.

Please include the Registration Fee in your cart, fill out this form (one per student) and submit it by email.  Returning students for the new school year must also renew registration.  Please contact WSA if you have questions or need to update your file. 

Registration fee is $50 per student per term, $90 for two or more students per term.
